Have you got one ?
what do they pull like ?

I hope they are ok as i have just brought (from ebay on a buy it now) for £20 a motor and two bogies to power the GWR railbus as i'm not happy with the old motor and it looks like a good match . Hope its a strong puller as its got half a kg of white metal to haul   no extra weight needed on this one

Some people have been doing that because they can get more for spares at the moment , I'm not worried as they are the parts i want , if they won't do the job then i will hold onto them untill the price goes up

They don't look as gutsy as the American motors I've seen. Same company, I wonder if they keep all the good stuff for themselves.

I've two Baccy 25's and two Baccy 24's. (Identical motors)
They'll haul nine coaches on the level, and manage six on the two inclines on the layout I'm building.

Not the fastest of locos I have in my collection, but excellent slow speed control using my 20 year old Gaugemaster controller.

I'm thinking of getting some of these as well, I have a pair of Hornby 25s, looked good but with having a few Bachmann diesels, they seem a bit out of place or something.

Some places sell them ex set but DCC fitted.  Anyone have experience of running these on convention 12V DC?  Should I remove the decoders and fit a plug (plus where do I get the plugs yada yada yada)

Running a DCC fitted loco on DC shouldn't be a problem unless you have a feedback controller.

I got one of the Bachmann 25s a couple of weeks back.  Slow but then again, we don't realy want those tearaways like the Hornby 0-4-0 (charming some of them maybe).

I got the ex set one which I supposed is based on a preserved example with the name on the side and the number on the sealed connecting doors.  Whilst I thought the Hornby one was good - certainly better than their steam offerings at the time - the look of the Bachmann model is great.  I read a review that stated that the front end on the Bachmann loco was wrong and whilst I haven't checking it against technical draws, looks fine to me.

Having gone digital, it's really made a lot of difference.  I was one of those who said he wouldn't go digital, now that I took the plunge, I'm glad I did.
