There are problems with the early version of the Kato GS4 when running under DCC control that mean it has to have a retrofit kit fitted. For details see http://www.katousa.com/N/GS-4/index.html

Instead of going through the hassle of returning your GS4 to the shop or fitting the kit I would say it would be much better to buy the later version where the problem has been fixed.
