Reading through Hornby's preliminary results I noticed that they tried to buy Sanda Kan but lost out to Kader, Bachmann's parent company.
I haven't seen this reported on other forums, but I could have missed it.

See the report at https://www.hemscott.com/ir/hrn/i...ews-item&item=158327526927101

No, I don't think so. The last thing that Bachmann would want is for Hornby to go bust.
When daddy goes into the toyshop to buy little Johnny a train set he will think Hornby and while he's there notice that there are Bachmann train sets too and buy one instead.

I agree with Pol, it wouldnt mean anything bad for Hornby I shouldn't think, it's like ebay, they bidded and lost so they keep the money for a possibly better factory?
