The reviews I've read about the HO Big Boys put the Rivarossi third. You can buy them in the UK from Ontracks.

Yes Poliss  i  saw some reviews  suggesting the  same   too    big  for my layout  but there  again  i  can  dream  about  an  HO   one

The "old nagger" comes up again:
Although, I like the Big Boy very much, I think that Hornby didn't do it any good with *that* kind of weathering. It looks as if someone simply sprayed on some streaks of rust where he thought it should be. Simply doesn't look "right". Just look at the tender. Did you ever see diagonal streaks of rust on a tender? Another point is the rust on the boiler: too regular.

I wouldn't pay the money for it.

Hi Erhard,

I have to agree  with you   ..........  prefer  to weather it  myself  with  good  references of  the  particular  loco  #     if  available.
