Something you don't see every day. A woman with an interest in railways. A quick read of her website shows that she knows at least a hundred more things about railways than I do.
The section on the history of breaks is a prime example. Could this be the origin of the phrase 'that's scotched that idea'?

She knows A LOT...as for her being female - I know a female rail enthusiast, she's in an enthusiast group with me.
