I have been selling spares and the like on ebay for a while but am finding the enviroment over there rather unpleasant, ever changing rules that is hard to keep up with, excessive costs and the level of dishonesty from some users is rather shocking. Don't get me started on ebay themselves!
Anyway, I am putting together a price list for what is available and with simple shipping, with a flat rate of £4 in the UK (keeping it in the UK for now). I am flexible and it isn't just spares I am selling. Will do a "jiffy bag" rate if there is only one or two bits and there will never be any minimum order value. I never think it's right that people should end up buying stuff that isn't needed! Presently, the spares list is around 16 pages long.
The only thing I am not flexible about is paypal. I do not want any dealings with them, ebay have forced me to take paypal and I have them in front of the financial ombudsman for a whole rake of issues which I needn't go into here.
Selling direct will also enable me to offer goods for lower prices as well.
What I am thinking of doing, if this is available and the people running the forum don't mind, is to make a .pdf file and upload it to the files section. I will update it, say, once a fortnight as somethings are one-offs.
I will be making my booking for the Chester Toyfair/Swopmeet and, no promises as we have only a small car, but if people want to place an order and pick it up there, it should be fine so you don't have to pay shipping costs.

Ebay is a waste of time, you find lots of junk on there at over inflated prices and get ripped off a lot. I won't touch it with a barge pole. I think you have the right idea Retrogoth. Fairs are generally cash as well so you get your money up front with no waiting. I would say never take a cheque if doing a fair, you can soon find it to be as rubber as a pencil eraser. Cash only is the way to be. If you can bag parts and put them into open top boxes even better as people tend not to bash them about so much as when they are just put in a big tub.
