I recently received some telegraph poles for my N-Gauge layout for my birthday, but I was thinking...

What would be the best material for the wire itself? Has anyone a good idea? Pretty please?

Hi  Declan,    

Place  your  telegraph  poles  on  the layout  well stuck  down  then  use  fine  elastic  from  a haberdashery   shop  a tiny drop  of  superlue   to  hold   it on then   stretch  to  the next  pole  drop  of   glue and so  on  making  sure  the poles  dont   bend  at  all.

Should  you  knock   / catch  the wires  they  will   give.

It  can  be   dyed   before using it with Dylon  dye.  saves   the fiddly painting  afterwards

On Ridley USA, I used wire that anglers use to tie fishing flies with.  It's already copper coloured so need to paint and comes in several thickness'.
