As you might have read in the adds section i'm doing up a few old Hymeks . Muttering was because you try filmlng while pushing down on a motor and keeping the camera still and so you can see the meter display

That's about 3 times as much as a Hornby decoder will take. The decoder in my Big Boy might work with it as it's a 2.0 amp decoder.

There was a picture of one in the Hornby (Ian Allen) magazine that had a Hymek in maroon.  Looked rather smart.  I've done an Irish version in the earlier mostly black livery and it looks rather smart.  One of the many things I've started but haven't finished!

Nice engine, that Hymek.  A pity they were a victim of BR's electric transmission only policy.

Being into Irish models in a big way, I thought the CIE version Hornbyput out in the 1970s was rather horrible looking!

I might have a go (one day!) at doing the maroon Hymek.  Now, if I can get my trade account sorted, I might get a Thomas one and give it a fresh coat of paint...

I have a spare underframe (ringfield type) and a number of bogie frames inc some new factory weathered ones.  One new body is also availabe from the Thomas range but this is the enhanced version with properly defined head/tail lights and wire handrails up for grabs.  Have decided to put the maroon one on hold for a while.
