Most turntables have a deep well and some modellers don't like the Hornby or Atlas ones because they don't have one.
Well, some TT's in the real world don't have one either. Take a look at this one in Moldova. http://www.railway.md/en/A.photos...x=15&be=technic/3-&num=04

They are very good turntables that automatically align with the exit tracks, but the motor is very noisy and needs some way of muffling it.
