Hmmm, do you have a video recorder. What kind of cards do you have on your puter?  The equipment you have will make it very easy, or a two step process.

Ahh, as you have a laptop you'd need a Cardbus  PCMCIA card with DVR inputs and a type 2 slot in the laptop.
The EZ Grabber in Johns link would be the best option as you could plug it straight into a USB slot.
Remember to note what format the saved video uses.

PCMCIA=Personal Computer Memory Card International Association. Ooops, they've changed the name to just PC Card already. I'm behind.

Cardbus just means your laptop will work with plug-in cards. My old puter didn't have a cardbus.

The type 2 slot refers to an upgrade to what you can plug in, similar too when USB was upgraded to USB 2.
DVR is easy, Digital Video Recorder.
