Even older tom

A gentle hint to younger rail enthusiasts

Watching this vid of a train pulling out of Lime St and running through Edge Hill made me realise how much has changed since I was a boy.  When I was last there (1974), the run from Lime St to Edge Hill was dark and the cutting walls were BLACK. It's now quite clean and doesn't look like the same place.
What I am saying to younger members is photograph/video all your favourite places NOW because they won't look the same soon and in years to come, you'll be glad you've got a reference if in future you want to model a favourite scene.

Sermon over with.

P.S. Thanks to Will, this vid came up on the 'Related Videos' when I watched his Huddersfield vids.  Cheers!
