Well i have made a start and on the first page of the instructions there is a mistake ! One part they say to make is not there and is nowhere to be seen in the rest of the instructions and two other parts they show fitted the wrong way round . Also the filler is out already as the boiler sides don't fit tight and there is a small floor in the moulding .
But you know me ,I want it to look perfect so its worth spending some time on it ,

Look forward to seeing the pictures. Odd, that the instructiond got it wrong. Perhaps the instructions were for a prototype test model, then the production one is slightly different?

What bits are missing? There were two versions of the kit with different parts. The mould must be showing it's age as when I built it everything fitted perfectly. All the moving parts moved, which was unusual for my kits.

Ah Ha, found this. "Anyone buying the re-issued Trevithick Loco...now just called the 1804 Steam Loco... might hit a snag when they come to start assembly.
Step 1 of the instructions invites the builder to assemble parts 13, 63 and 69....the problem being that these are parts from the Beam Engine kit which bear no relation to these numbered parts in the loco kit.
Easy for me to spot as I've built the originals however the casual punter with no prior knowledge will be left scratching their head.
Once again it seems that Airfix need to sort out their QC dept....do they not employ anyone to at least test build their kits prior to release?"

Now you have said its from the beam engine it all makes sence

because looking again at it , its the base for it
