Fibre optic Store .comHi All,
If you have ever thought about using fibre optics for your models/layout heres a good link to a supplier.
A supplier on ebay charges a lot more than these guys the uses are endless eg: headlights on cars with the light source under the board .... loco lights where normal LED'S /bulbs are to bulky etc.

Yes I've thought about it, but I'm scared I'd stick some of the fibres in my fingers. Very hard to remove as I remember. You know what I'm like with knives.

stick the fibres in your fingers Poliss you must have very open pores
Seriously though yes the multi strand type need careful removal but a new blade run lengthways gently should start off removal of the sleeving ok

Another good suppy is have a look for the small fibre opic xmas trees in the sales . You get loads of fibres and very cheep after Christmas as the shop want to sell all of the xmas stock

Must be too dark to see it. You need a lamp to find it.

Came home to find the fibre optics here two reels with 50ft of 0.5mm/1mm along with a sample pack of 6 different sizes of fibres.
Good quick service only placed the order on 4/10
