Hornby GWR 101 0-4-0T died!

My Hornby loco appears to have just died!

I've taken it apart and the nylon gear doesn't seem to be turning the screw spindle that emenates from the motor. I've tried the gear and the motor on their own, and they both turn very freely by hand, I just cant get the gear to turn the spindle.

Any thoughts at all?

Motor ? or no power to the motor

Ah-ha! Got it!

One of the clips that keep the motor in place had worked loose. I've re-bent it slightly to give a firmer hold and Bob is your proverbial!
