Hornby rolling roadAs you all know a lot of the new diesels have eight wheel drive so they can't be tested on the Hornby rolling road . After having a thunk i took a screw driver to mine and if you take out the three screws on the bottom the track section comes away with another set of rollers and a connector block glued in place you can now test the eight wheel drive locos .
As an extra i fitted the plug in style connector so it makes it very easy to connect my Peco cleaning brush and scraper as well

Brilliant idea Pete. I should think a lot of people will find it very useful.
I don't know about 'loadsa dosh' for a start letter but it should be worth trying!

Ten quid would almost pay for the extra set of rollers .
I will have a go at sending to the mags , you never know they might print it .

Go on, Pete.... give us a mod that'll enable me to use it to test my Z gauge!

Being seriuos Pete, it's one scale where you DON'T need a rolling road.
Any worktop with a free 50cm is enough space to test these little b+gg++s.
