but I can't get emotional when I see a diesel (even the Deltic which I used to watch thundering through Edge Hill). But, show me a steam loco (from the smallest to the largest, from UK, USA or the rest of the world) and it's a different story.
I wonder what gives us our psychological make up?

You have to have been there I guess. This one reminds me of sitting on the front step on a hot summers evening with an ice cold tinny, (amongst other very nice things).
Even older tom
Yes, you are right Pol, you had to be there to see and feel all that went on.
Deltic was just an engine that rumbled through with a train behind it, whereas a double headed express with all the smoke and noise was much more to behold when you are 9 years old.
I guess that's why I'm a steam freak.

You're welcome Nick!
Progress on the module is a bit slow since I spend most of my time tinkering with my new website. I plan a relaunch of my site and want to make it a bit more comfortable to use and at the same time modernize it a bit. Javascript was banned from the site and so it is completely database-driven using only PHP and CSS. So far, the whole thing is stuffed into a test environment and undergoes some rigorous testing and at the same gets new content added.
In addition, I received a nice little set of tools I ordered a month ago from Fast Tracks and now I practise turnout (point) - building in code 40 N-scale...
Must've gone crazy these days
