Javis Foam Board

Has anyone used it and is it easy to cut? What sizes are there? I want something to make my mimic board face from and don't really want to use plywood. Size I need, about 10"x2'.

Hi  Doug,

I  have never used or  seen  the  Javis  board  so  cant  comment .......  i  am gong  to use  plasticard sheet  for  mine   light  enough and  if  you  purchase it  in   60  thou  or  more its easy  to  cut  and  drill   for switches

Where i  get  my  plasticard

I especially wanted thicker stuff so I can bury my Fleischmann switches and track diagram parts in it.

Hi Poliss,

How thick  does  it  need to  be
poliss

The switches etc. are about a quarter of an inch thick. I'd like to have them level with the control panel. So what I would do is screw the switches to some plywood and fill in the rest with the foam board. I'd like it to be in one piece because I'm fuusy about joint lines showing.

Would some 6mm  MDF  not be suitable  Poliss  as an option   ?

I'd like something that is very easily cut.
Here's what the switches look like.
