Just a tad too much realism?

I think this is taking detailing just a bit too far...

Sorry, can't go conform with your opinion
You see those panels quite often over here in Germany. They are intended to keep car drivers alert of the maximum allowed speed limit and are sometimes used a short distance before a radar trap .

But the guys advertizing this panel are a bit late: Since 2001, we have one of them installed on the Wunderland layout, only our's was scratchbuilt...

Hi Erhrad, glad to see you back.
Did you have a good holiday?

Well, it wasn't so much of a holiday but rather a sick-bay vacation. I had a surgery and two spinal disks replaced. Didn't want to tell until I knew that everything went well ...
However, everything is allright now and I enjoy waking up without any back pain. Of course, I couldn't wait to get up again after the surgery and so I had myself "doped" and flewn home to my Phoenix, AZ house where I recovered a lot faster than in hospital.
After I could walk and master stairs, my better half and I flew down to Florida and spent a couple of days at the seashore.

You can imagine that I had a lot of time to think (veeeery dangerous ) and I came up with an idea:
During my stays in the US, I found many shortline railroads that practically scream to be photographed and I made a couple of contacts on my way back to New York. Now I am ready to offer railfan tours for small groups (3 to 5 participants) that won't last longer than 10 days and with my connections to some travel agents here in Germany, I can even make affordable prices.

What do you guys think about this? I'd like to hear your opinions...

Take care,
Erhard

Very glad to hear that you are now OK and the operation was successful.

I like the idea of small group, short duration tours - a few like minded people together should be good.
Best of luck on your new venture!

Glad to hear the op went well Erhard.

The railfan tours idea sound good. Hope there are still enough people who can afford it in these times.

Thanks lads,
I feel like a newborn kid now, only a bit wiser

Mid August this year, I will go on a 10-day tour I already planned on my compy and see how it will work out. Chose North Carolina for a start because there are quite a few shortlines in the Charlotte area that could be worth a visit. I'll keep you posted in another thread as it is a bit off-topic here .
