And me but I was 4 or so. My Gran used to take me and my sister for a day out. We used the 'Docker's Umbrella' to get to the Pier Head and then go over the water to Wallasey.
Them were the days.... ho, hum... And if we didn't have a bag of chips while we were out, it wasn't a good day! (And, it never rained as far as I can remember - odd isn't it?)

I can hear (and smell) those 502's and 503's to this day. Very smooth runners and well appointed as well (i.e. posh seats, for a commuter train ).
