Matt Smith is the new Doctor Who?About as exciting and inspiring as Sylvester McCoy in my opinion.

I dunno, he looks quite Doctor-ish, on the website he looks alright plonked next to the TARDIS, and from the clips that were shown of his acting, he looked like he had that enthusiasm the Doctor should have. And what's wrong with Slyvester McCoy? He's brilliant as the Doctor-look at Ghost Light, for example-fine acting from a fine cast.

McCoy was so good they cancelled the series. I can see it being cancelled again with this choice of lead actor. Peter Davison, an actor I like very much, was way too young for the part and this one is even younger.

The series was getting better in the last season, and I quite like McCoy-he had found the darker side of the Doctor in the last two series, his bad reputation was with experimenting with comedy, which was only for one seeason out of twenty six!. And in what way was Davison too young? Nice energetic Doctor, playful to serious at the blink of an eye. Many of his succesful traits remain seen in Tennant's Doctor, one of the most successful yet.
Besides, the series we love could be so much worse-remember in the 90's, when instead of one British/American movie starring the brilliant Paul McGann (No doubt he's on the naughty list too...), we could have had a totally American series... The TARDIS would eventually turn into a cheeseburger!

Paul McGann is still the Doctor and very good he is too. I like Sheridan Smith too.

Yes, we agree on something! I love those radio shows too, if only I had the money to buy them! I bet the Eighth Doctor would fit in rather well in the new series.

"The series also features the return of the Wirrn, the Krynoids and those eight-legged freaks from Metebelis 3."

I thought Kris Marshal ( http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedi...e/00335/Kris_Marshall_335415a.jpg ) would make a brilliant Dr Who
