Microsoft Dump EncartaMSN Encarta to be DiscontinuedOn October 31, 2009, MSNŽ EncartaŽ Web sites worldwide will be discontinued, with the exception of Encarta Japan, which will be discontinued on December 31, 2009. Habits change. I remember using Encarta at primary school and never seen it again until now. Free information (however, sometimes unreliable  ) is available now at the touch of a button! It's like mail order companies losing business to internet based shops.
