Mountains In MinutesMountains In Minutes
Saw this product mentioned on another forum so I thought I'd see what it was. It looks like it could be better than the traditional chicken wire and plaster bandage method of making hills etc. Looks a bit pricey though.
Here's what Walthers say about it.
"Make your own foam castings and rubber molds. Perfect for use in the field, using real rocks as masters."

Looks good Poliss if its Walthers usual quality it'll work well bit expensive though.
On another note saw an article in latset MR mag using cooking foil shaped and wrinkled up to create a rockface ....... pour in the plaster ...... turn it out

I prefer this method:
1. Use a suitable piece of real rock or coal as master.
2. Clean it thoruoghly from loose dirt with a brush.
3. Brush on a layer of latex-milk, cover with gauze bandage.
4. Repeat step 3 until a sturdy but flexible mould is achieved.
5. Set aside to harden.
6. Remove master and start pouring your rocks.
This kind of mould is good for at least 70 to 100 castings.

I'd just like a ready made corner piece with double track tunnel mouths that doesn't cost the earth.

Left hand corner to break up the oval. Need two tunnel mouths Nick or the train would crash into the rock face on it's way out.
