My decoder arrived today

I shall try to put it in my Sharknose tomorrow during a mid-session interval in the snooker.
Teleman

Is it plug in or a solder in job ?

Drop in. Fitted very easily. Had more trouble taking the body completely off because it has to be manouvered past the coupling.
Works fine. I have to work out how to change the default direction on CV29. Oh, the joys of translated instruction leaflets!

Strange happenings after fitting. Firstly, the two dcc fitted loco's go the opposite way. Wierd as both are Digitrax decoders. Changed the default direction on my Sharknose via CV29 to match my B23-7 loco. Increased speed steps to 128 as recommended.  Everything was fine for a while, but then the Sharknose ground to a halt. Took the decoder out to check connection, cleaned the contacts with glass fibre pencil. Put everything back together and tried again. Loco moved a little, then stopped.
Thought maybe I'd damaged the decoder with static as I was fitting it. As a last resort I changed the Sharknose to address 4 and the B23-7 to address 3. It worked! Both run fine now, except they're both going in the wrong direction.

The Roco Lokmaus 2 instructions are awful. Wish they'd hire a better translator.
