Old Jacks layoutWent to see Jack today as he was having trouble with his TV and took the camera to take a few pics of his layout , Its in well sort of the loft as its a dormer bungalow . Due to his age and poor eye site ( he is in his 80's) all the rolling stock has now been sold but the layout remains . it runs in a 'U'shape figure of eight so there is a lot of track and the station can take 9 coach trains to give you an idea of the size . I asked if he wan't to be in the photos but he said no .
After this part of the layout it goes into storage sidings with a twin track loop back round to the main part again

Exceptional stuff.
Sad to know that it's 'closing down' but at least some more people have now seen it, thanks Pete.

Joe & Noakesy
I know he started the model club back in the 50's so would have been modeling then but the house he lives in was built in 63 and that part was built to have a model railway so it would have been started then and added to over the years .
Tom
He has said that the layout will stay for as long as possable as he hopes that when he moves he can sell the bungalow to a model railway fan.
Any one want to move to Saffron Walden ?
