Problem point ?Hi all,
The point to the turntable is to near the board frame to mount a seep motor in the normal way so i need to invert it and add a link to the tie bar using a short length of piano wire but has anyone seen a collett to take both the point rod coming down and the piano wire at a right angle, to suit the point rod size a good fit.
Somthing like the meccano three hole connector though of course they are to big in dimensions.

What make of points are you using ?

Could you use the metal insert from a "choc block" electrical connector?
You can drill an extra hole at right angles if needed

I thought of this. If it works it's copyright poliss©. If it doesn't work it's one of Baldricks 'Cunning Plans'.
The slots are so that there is a little lateral movement because the point lever itself needs to be moved in a straight line. If you understand what I mean.

Is the point motor going to be surface mounted?

No poliss the motor there is shown under the board and contorls the road leading to the turntable, the upside is the straight side of the point leads to the magnet i epoxied to the board and can uncouple cars stored in roads net to the turntable if i wish
Worked out i should be able to get three roads next to it

Ah right, I've got it now. I was thinking that the blue plate was on top of the board.

I was thinking that you couldn't get the point motor close enough in the other direction. That's what my little diagram was for.
For the way you have it did you consider the Peco PL-12 with a pin in the extension hole? Would they fit on a Seep point motor?

I did think of the peco motor but its so near to the edge of the board no matter what make it was it wasnt gong to fit, if you look on the pic of the motor under the board closely where the frame is theres a nick in the frame where the drill passed through to form the hole for the point motor
