damn, he got there one of the days it was running. I went the only day it failed! It failed on its last run on the saturday, and wasnt running sunday when i went, but was fine the monday!
I was quite disapointed with the gala really. Alot of the locos were failed that first weekend, and the timetable was totally different to the one planned, very disapointing really. |

Failed already? To be expected with a 70 year old locomotive maybe, but Tornado is brand new for goodness sake. | ||

yup, it failed, i dont think it came out what was wrong with it, there are a few rumours here and there though. It was only out of action for 1 day so it can't of been that serious.
It was rescued by a class 37 on it last train of the day of the saturday. geat pics by Dave though! |

Some websites say it was the fusible plug. If so, that's an operating fault and shouldn't have been allowed to happen.
