What DCC controller do you use? This is pretty self explanatory! What DCC contoller do you use. I use a Select and select walkabout.

Roco Lokmaus 2. Very simple to operate. I want the new raidio control Multimaus.

Does that act as a walkabout to the Lokmaus or on it's own?

I may get the Elite soon. What do you think of the Hornby Infra-red wireless? Is it any good?

The radio control Multimaus is a complete new system. I haven't investigated it too closely because I can't afford it yet. Maybe next Xmas.

How much does it cost?
|

Don't know yet. It doesn't come out till December. I knew it would be to expensive for me though. I have to buy second hand stuff from Ebay mostly. Here's an article about it on Model Rail Forum. http://www.modelrailforum.com/for...howtopic=4603&mode=linear
Just noticed the price in the link. MRRP is 399 Euros.

Very interesting- I see that it has a USB port like the Hornby Elite.

Roco digital is made for them by Lenz, (it was the last time I looked anyway), so there should be no compatability problems.

So, do you think that it would be posibble to connect an elite to a Roco Digital product?

If the Elite has xpressnet I suppose. But I'm no expert on DCC.
|

It does have an Xpressnet port.

I think my select has totally gone wrong! It cannot program even a double heading, and at one point failed to program a loco. What does everyone think?

Bin it and go back to DC
Not realy Is it not the select that they have trouble with and you have to take back to the shop for a new one ?

Try resetting the Select, as shown on page 19 of the manual

Thanks Rog- I will try that.

I think I'm glad I have a Lokmaus.

Yes- I bet you are . I thought that the selects were perfect but I was wrong

I use the NCE Procab for the American layout and NCE Powercab for the British shunting yard planned for the wnter ....... Highly recommend both especially Powercab for value for money

I'm still debating on whether to get the Powercab or wait for the wireless Multimaus.

I would never doubt the wireless Multimaus though lets hope it isnt like another system which has issues used wirelessly.

The Multimaus is a proper radio system, not infra-red control. I shall wait for a review before I decide. If it has less than 25 functions I'll get the Powercab. I do hate the Roco manual, the translation is sooooo bad.

Bachmann Dynamis, and the only problem I've had so far is, that the loco database deleted all 14 locomotives except for the last one programmed.
Strange!

Multimaus arrived today. Just an ordinary wired one I'm afraid. Did a short test and she works ok. Plugged my old Lokmaus in as a slave unit and that works too.
