Your thoughts on shipping charges...Since I've jacked in ebay, I've been looking at alternatives and have some in mind, which are more affordable, after some much needed time out. Not applicable to amazon as they set the shipping charges
What do people think about shipping charges and what would people prefer? I've added a poll for your thoughts.

Free postage always seems to attract more customers even if the total works out the same.

Since i did 'free post' on Ebay my score on shipping chargies went down How can you mark somebody down on shipping when its free ? Thats right its ebay i forgot

Very difficult one. I use a woodwork site that will send out things like scroll saw blades for 20p so a fixed price could be a problem. I guess it all depends on the product being shipped. If you are selling all the same sort of thing (e.g. locos and carriages) then a fixed £4.00 along with a good unit price gets my vote.
