Don't look at my Atlas turntable Declan, it's still exactly as it came out of the box. Take a look at Nick's. His has been modified to look real.

Hi Declan,

As Pol   says  i  did   modify    the  board  ready to  fit  in an  atlas turntable,  as  here    http://upnick.fotopic.net/c1592502.html
I did   make the  turntable   top   larger  to  accomodate  the big  boy  locos from  black  plasticard, and  needed  to  make  a bridge for  the  loco, plans have changed  and i intend  to  use  a  standard  tuntable  on  the  other  side  of  the  layout now,  details  of  how  i  sorted  the board   are  as  follows   after  cutting  out  for  the   turntable  diameter   i  lined the  inside  with   40  thou   plasticard and   finished  it  off  smooth  inde  to  cover  any  joins  with  plastercloth.
some  fiddling with  a  motor  fitting  is  needed  to  get it  to work   if  you  choose  to  use  it.
Otherwise  do  you have an old  record turntable lying  around ready  for  the tip ,  they  work    really smoothly  and a  free   of  course if  its  of no  use.
