If you look at the top right of your browser Dave, you'll see a little icon that says 'Page'. If you click that and move your mouse down to 'View Source' a text box will open with long lines of HTML such as,

"{ font-size: 10px; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #444444; "

Font family tells the computer what style of type to use. Windows puters will usually use Arial and Macs usually use Helvetica. Sans-serif tells your puter not to put wiggly bits on the ends of letters. The number after Color tells your puter what colour the type has to be. #444444 is a paler shade of black for instance.

Scrap roundhouse idea. Kit is just far too big. Will just have to put naked tracks from the turntable instead.

Nope, thought of that. The indexing is different to the turntable so would need quite long curved tracks to make them reach the doors properly. Would need a layout around 10 foot long by 4 wide to look right. My ideas are too big for the space available.

Take a look at your hands Nick. See those two big things at the ends? I have ten of them instead of two.

Point taken  Poliss     i  must admit  the thought  of   creating  a roundhouse  in  brick so  each   mortar line is matched  up   from scratch   isnt the easiest of  tasks.

I'm fine with the big stuff. I can knock you up a full size Dalek at the drop of a hat. It's the little stuff I have problems with. Must be why I model N Scale.

If anyone wants a full size Dalek btw, I'll need lots of old fashioned plastic lemonade bottles, 2 babies rattles and a coconut.

I was very good at Algebra. The teacher used to ask me a question and I would say 'eh'?

The square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides.

The square hypot thing is very useful if you're scratchbuilding buildings from real life. It tells you how tall they are without having to carry a ladder about with you.

I hear the PL26 point switches are better than hornby ones because you can use CDUs with them.

I have all the track now. Only thing left to do is cut and fit some short pieces for the turntable exits.

Yesterday and today. Cut pieces of plasticard to fit under all my Tomix track to put it on the same level as the Unitrack. Also cut a piece of balsa to fit under my Minitrix double slip. Everything seems level now.

No, mine was by Slaters. Comes in A4 sheets for £1.10 for the 40 thou thickness I needed. Got mine from Modelzone.
Here's the Slaters Plastikard website.

I notice you use it for levelling your track Doug, would I be better using it instead of the odd piece of cardboard that I find necessary for levelling some of my points

You could use plasticard. It will give you an exact height and won't compress.

H`mm thats what I was thinking , cardboard can get distorted with temperature (being in the loft) also when ballasting it gets wet. Good idea!!
