Thought I'd replace some rapido trucks with microtrains versions only to find that the Bachmann wagons have a larger locating pin thingy and they don't fit!

How much larger?
Wouldn't it help to ream out the hole in the truck until it fits?

Just a little larger. I had thought of reaming them out, but as the spring design is slightly different to the Bachmann trucks and that the next wagons I get will probably be Atlas* ones, I think I'll leave them for now.

*Don't usually know the make till they drop through my letterbox.

What  wagons are you trying to  fit  them to  Poliss     some Bachmann  are  screws holding  the trucks  in  .........  is it a case of the pin is  too  large  to go through  the  truck  hole   ?
If  so   i   use a round  file  twisting anticlockwise   until  its a  good fit
Anticlockwise as   the file doesnt bite too  much  but  is  working   more  gradually.

Yes, it's the Bachmann screw type.
