Just a quick question, how do you pin it down? It has no holes in it by the way.

Thanks

You drill the holes in the sleepers with a drill (a small one, mind), then pin it down. Do a hole about every 6-8 inches along.

Instead of pinning it you could stick it down, or use one of the self adhesive track-beds such as Hobby's Instant rail Track Bed http://tinyurl.com/9hgcku or Woodland Scenics Track-Bed http://www.ecscenics.co.uk/

I thought about glueing it down, would I be able to do this with PVA?

Another way of doing it is to screw the track down between the sleepers and then glue it down with the ballast . Heres a you tube link to a layout that you can still see the screws and the locos run ok over them for testing

At about two mins in you get a good view of what i mean , I will see if i can find some better pics later but you should get the idea from this , It even works with n gauge

I take it you remove the screws after ballasting (when it is dry) or do you leave them in?

I have never done it that way , but i do remove the track pins after the balast has stuck , next time that is the way i will do it , as it saves filling the holes in the sleepers
