A couple of weeks ago, I picked up in Wilkinsons of all places a rather decent book called "British Steam Railways", with a black and silver effect cover.  A lot of stores have been selling this but I managed to get my copy for £3.50, about the same price as a magazine.  You may be lucky in picking one up there.

Ive already got it, from tesco ages ago (last christmas in fact) does it have a black king on the front with silvery background?

lucky... I got mine for free though I like the encyclopedia type ones the best as they go into detail but mention a wide array of well everything you could possibly want to know in general.   Joe
